Last week, The Columbian published an article about the Clark County housing market.

Reporter Cami Joner reports that housing sales were up 10.7 percent in February 2013 from the same month in the previous year, that the number of homes for sale has decreased and that the new median cost of a home is $202,000.

Here at Creekside Mortgage, Inc., we’ve seen many of these trends. From the inventory shortage to the urge to buy, we’ve slowly seen the market coming back.

While the market improving means great things for the economy, as potential buyers, this market only further validates the notion that now is really the time to buy, before houses gain more value. Plus, with interest rates so low, it is really a time to seize the day and become a homeowner.
